I am the fifth owner
by Shelley on 4/29/2026 7:23:32 PM
This car was given to me by my son when my Subaru finally died as an in between car, it had 115,000 miles on it when I got it and until this year at 156,000 miles I really hadn’t done much to it at all. The only repairs I needed to do when I got it was the windows in the back needed new parts. The car runs and gets about 26 mpg Ive had the steering pump repaired struts replaced tires replaced brakes replaced some rear stabilizing joints so I can’t remember the name of them. I just replaced the water pump and timing belt and that’s it. It sounds like quite a few things but honestly gonna see how she does. She’s fun to drive especially after the struts were replaced and she’s been low cost so far I think all in total I’ve got $1200 invested. We’ll see if there’s anything major that goes. I guess that’ll be when I make that decision! I would recommend this little car! - 5.0
Great Little Car
by Double R on 11/18/2025 1:42:32 PM
I bought a 2003 Ford Focus ZX3 to use as a work commuter; and to park my Tundra most days of the week. My father in law bought it off the original owner (old lady cheap I assume); I offered him $700 bucks and he took it. It had its fair share of mechanical issues; I've invested $900 into since, and now she runs like a sewing machine. A big perk of this car is cheap parts and relatively easy to work on for those mechanically inclined and ready to dive in. I have had it for 3 years now; has ~122,000 miles on it with no signs of stopping. Would trust this little car to go across the country. I have since developed a love for hatchbacks (who would have thought), one of my favorite little cars now! - 5.0
Best dependable little car ever built by Ford.
by Charlie Brown aka Chuck on 11/17/2025 10:53:08 AM
2007 Ford Focus was purchased brand new. The car has had routine maintenance and kept overall in mint condition. Currently has over 97,000 miles. Little engine is running strong. Everything works as it should be. This vehicle is perfect for daily usage, around town driving. Best $12,000 bucks spent for something that keeps right on going and impressing me. So check this out. I have driven this car for 17 years ..................... over the course of that time it has cost me $55 a month. Heck, my insurance cost me more a month than what the car has. THAT IS MESSED UP!!! KBB has the retail trade or resale value at $1800. I would not sale it for $5000. JUST TO DEPENDABLE !!!
